ABOUT  ME

Melissa began practicing yoga in 2006. She was a police officer in New York and sustained career-ending injuries. Her journey into yoga and meditation brought her life changing relief.


Melissa moved to Florida in 2013 and dived even deeper into the practice of yoga. She started teaching yoga in 2016 and has loved it from day one. She teaches Gentle, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and more.


Her passion is sharing the strategies and techniques she has learned and guiding vacationers and locals of Fort Lauderdale into peace and wellness.

OFFERINGS

GENTLE YOGA

Gentle yoga is done at a slower pace. It includes rest and breathing exercises to get the most out of your practice. It strengthens muscles and joints, increases flexibility, and refreshes the mind and spirit.

VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa links breath and movement to create balance in the mind and body. Postures are strung together with the breath to create flow. Vinyasa improves range of motion, enhances energy levels, and builds core strength.

Y I N  Y O G A


Yin Yoga involves slowing down, stillness, surrendering, releasing, and unwinding. We hold poses anywhere from 2-7 minutes getting a deep stretch into the connective tissues. Props may be used for support.  Deeply relaxing and meditative.



                   RESTORATIVE YOGA

      Focuses on releasing mind-body tension. Helps bring the nervous system into a state of healing. laying comfortably in non active poses to turn attention inward to reduce anxiety and promote deep relaxation. Use of props for support and poses are held for about 5-10 minutes. Deeply relaxing and meditative. Less about stretching more about allowing, opening with ease, and relaxing.

GUIDED MEDITATION


Quiet the mind, relax the body and enhance presence. Meditations may include breathing exercises, sound healing,

 chanting mantra, hypnotic talk downs, or visualizations. Increase calm, self awareness, and invite in peace & clarity.


REIKI

Reiki is an energy healing technique in which the reiki practitioner transfers universal life force energy from their hands to the clients body through light touch or above the clients clothed body. This can help to open the clients energy channels to facilitate the flow of healing energy, and promote deep relaxation.

Some benefits include:

reduced stress, anxiety relief, release of energetic blockages, balancing chakras (energy centers) improved mood, better sleep, pain relief, lower blood pressure, and a renewed feeling.

SOUND HEALING

Lay down to relax and receive. Sound therapy techniques are delivered using instrument such as crystal singing bowls, crystal singing pyramid, chimes, drum, rainstick & tuning forks to induce a deeply relaxing state and promote healing.

SHAMANIC BREATHWORK

Guided rhythmic breathing will induce a deep meditative state. This can provide the body with release of physica/emotional pain and or tension. It can help quiet the mind into a meditative state and or trigger emotional release, allowing a sense of lightness, bliss, or feelings of euphoria. Benefits include:
